About us

Our Mission

Our mission is to come alongside the people of Myanmar — lifting the arms of the local Church, caring for the vulnerable, and building long-term resilience through relationship.

Mission to Myanmar began with a single step of obedience. In 2012, our founder, Pastor Mark Robinette first traveled to Myanmar and encountered a faithful and courageous people in the midst of hardship. What began as friendship between Pastor Mark and Pastor Naing Thang grew into a lasting partnership — bridging the global Church with believers on the ground and strengthening communities from within.

Over the years, that partnership has grown into family.

Today, we work through trusted relationships across Myanmar to provide medical care, disaster relief, and support for persecuted believers and displaced refugees. We operate and support orphanages, invest in education, and continue the work of Bible translation. At the center of it all is a commitment to lift the arms of the local Church — bringing encouragement, practical support, and resources so leaders can continue serving their own communities with courage and hope.

We now operate from our ministry complex, which serves as a hub for ministry and daily life — a place for worship, training, education, refuge, and rebuilding. It stands as a testimony that even in the midst of conflict, roots can grow deep.

In 2024, following a tragic accident, our founder, Pastor Mark Robinette, lost his life alongside two of his sons, Gideon and Liam. Pastor Mark was later awarded the Carnegie Medal of Heroism — one of North America’s highest civilian honors — in recognition of extraordinary heroism. Though the loss was profound, the mission did not stop. His daughter, Rebekah Robinette, now leads Mission to Myanmar alongside a dedicated Board of Directors, continuing the work with the same vision and steadfast commitment.

We are guided by the call to care for the widow and orphan, to be a voice for the voiceless, and to stand with the oppressed

We remain committed to walking hand in hand — in every season. We love our Myanmar family, and it is our honor to walk this road together. Join Us

Where We All Began

Step into the past with us.

Early on Pastor Mark used videos to share the stories of Myanmar with the outside world, giving a glimpse into a people and place few knew about. Through this, many hearts were touched around the globe by the beauty of a forgotten people and place, breathing life and forging connections worldwide.
